What we do
One funeral. One dad who couldn't hide anymore. One coffee between two men who decided enough was enough.
One in three men say they have no close friends. We're on a mission to change that.
Shoulder to Shoulder is a men's community built around connection and purpose – two things many men find harder to hold onto as life gets busier and responsibilities grow.
We're here to change the narrative. For too long, the story has been that men don't talk. We know that's not true. Men do want to open up – they just need the right environment to do it.
Through shared experiences, honest conversations and meaningful events, we bring men together to build genuine friendships that last.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your background, religion, age or sexuality, as long as you share our values: respect, authenticity, ambition, connection and growth.
Most importantly, we're creating something every man deserves: a place to belong. Together.
We’re a community, not an events platform
We host a wide range of events and meet-ups, giving our members the chance to connect in real life and build meaningful friendships.
Our flagship event is our fortnightly Sunday Walk in Hyde Park, where up to 80 men come together for honest conversations in small groups before heading off on a 90-minute walk around the park.
Alongside that, we run regular monthly events including Curry Club, Circle of Crust (our pizza night), Book Club, sauna and cold plunge sessions, bowling nights and much more. From museum visits and cinema trips to paintballing, coffee roulette and quarterly socials, there's always something happening. We also host special events throughout the year, including men's sharing circles, retreats and yoga.
The best part? Many of our events aren't organised by us at all. We've built a community where members feel comfortable creating their own meet-ups, whether it's watching the football, grabbing a pint after work or meeting for a coffee. That's when you know real friendships are forming.
Beyond our own community, we're passionate about changing the conversation around men's connection. We partner with organisations, speak at events and advocate for stronger, more connected communities wherever we can.
“From the very beginning, I met men who were open, kind, and genuinely there to connect. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me rediscover parts of myself I thought I had lost. Slowly, my confidence returned.”

“I can honestly say my mental and physical health has never been better, and as for the loneliness, well, now I've got some great shoulders to lean on, and great friends I can call my own.”
