London’s Community for Men

The men’s community that creates belonging, together

Shoulder to Shoulder is the London men’s community which offers men the opportunity to connect and build meaningful friendships.

We host 25-30 events a month across the city, with a dedicated online platform offering members the chance to connect with each other in between.

Every new member is offered a full 30-day free trial, before deciding whether to commit to full membership or limited access to our platform.

Mission

To create belonging

A group of 16 men gathered together in a cozy room with wood accents, smiling and posing for a photo. They are standing and sitting around a large wooden table, with some wearing casual shirts and others in T-shirts. There are two visible hats on the table and a cup of pens. The room has large windows with curtains and a glass cabinet filled with glasses and bottles in the background.
Three people are outdoors, with one man engaging in conversation with two women. The man has short dark hair, a beard, and is wearing a dark jacket and a gray hoodie. One woman wears glasses and a dark top, the other has curly hair and is partially visible. Overcast sky background.

One in three men in the UK say they have no close friends. We're on a mission to change that.

Shoulder to Shoulder is a men's community built around finding more connection and purpose – two things many men struggle with as life gets busier and responsibilities grow.

We're here to change the narrative. For too long, the story has been that men don't talk. We know that's not true.

Men do want to open up, they just need the right environment to do it.

Through shared experiences, honest conversations and meaningful events, we bring men together to build genuine friendships that last.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your background, religion, age or sexuality, as long as you share our values: respect, authenticity, ambition, connection and growth.

Most importantly, we're creating something every man deserves: a place to belong, together.

What we do, and why we do it.

We’re a community, not an events platform.

We offer hundreds of events, and once you’ve signed up to membership, most of our events are either free or at cost price.

Why? S2S is built around frequency and repetition, seeing the same people again and again until real friendships form.

Once you’re a member, you get to keep showing up without reaching for your wallet each time.

Our online platform fills in the gaps, and we offer a huge number of different ways for members to connect outside of official S2S events.

The best part? Many of our events aren't organised by us at all. We've built a community where members feel comfortable creating their own meet-ups, whether it's watching the football, grabbing a pint after work or meeting for a coffee. That's when you know real friendships are forming.

Beyond our own community, we're passionate about changing the conversation around male connection.

We partner with organisations, speak at events and advocate for stronger, more connected communities wherever we can.

What belonging
really feels like.

Real words from men who found connection, confidence and meaningful friendships through Shoulder to Shoulder.

“ Member story
From the very beginning, I met men who were open, kind and genuinely there to connect. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me rediscover parts of myself I thought I had lost. Slowly, my confidence returned.

My therapist told me there wasn’t any reason for me to keep coming back. Her own words were: “This S2S group has changed you. You’ll be fine now.”

I can honestly say my mental and physical health has never been better. As for the loneliness, now I’ve got some great shoulders to lean on and great friends I can call my own.
